Hello my name is Jack Diamond and I’m 30 years old and born and raised in the state of Alaska. I’m Native Alaskan known as Yupik Eskimo. I am also a certified EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) in Hoonah as a First Responder, also a Native Youth Olympic coach for the school. I have seen most of Alaska’s great beauty across the state with my family. We lived in 6 different places in the state of Alaska in 4 different regions. Living this long in Alaska I have seen many of our majestic animals that call Alaska home. I love to explore around by; kayak, car, or just a simple hike in Alaska’s lush and beautiful forests.
I hope you follow me on a once and a lifetime journey.
Arriving in Alaska in 1979 was a big eye opener for me. 43 years later and I am in awe each time I witness the Northern Lights, see a whale breaching, or watch a brown bear crossing the road. It never gets old. Retirement is an interesting concept. Working with my son, driving a van and showing visitors the beauty of Hoonah, doesn’t seem like work to me.
I hope you can come along for the journey, enjoy and have a great trip.
